Catherine was born on Race 27, 1928 in Paris, ARIANNE, a daughter of the late Samuel and Minnie (Smith) Doak. She is survived by their toddlers: David Ray Griffin of Mt. Juliet, TN, Stephen Michael Griffin and wife Alice of Charleston, Janice Kay (Griffin) Tibbs involving Highland, CA; 7 grandchildren, Michelle Rowland of Mt. Juliet, TN, Melissa Morgan and husband Ken of Smyrna, TN, Tonya Natural and husband Michael of Kingman, AZ, Jon Tibbs of Highland, CA, Seth Griffin, Tristan Griffin and Braeden Griffin, all of Charleston; 6 great-grandchildren, Ryan, Hailey as well Shawn Morgan, Kenneth and Kelsey Green and Cassie Bean-Rowland; couple of sisters, Frances Webb of Kansas, IL, Margaret “Peggy” Pantle involving San Antonio, TX; a dad, Sam Doak and wife Peggy of Rock Island, IL; many nieces and nephews. Catherine seemed to be preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Bean.
Catherine was obviously a 1946 graduate of Paris Graduating high school and received her Bachelors Higher education degree in Education from Eastern Il University and a Master’s Degree with Education from the University of North Colorado in Greeley, CO. Your own woman was an elementary school teacher while in the Paris, IL School District intended for 5 years, in the Oakland, ARIANNE School District for 9 a number of in the Charleston, IL School Division for 21 years, retiring in 1989. Catherine was a woman of religion and a long time devoted member of Beforehand Baptist Church in Charleston. They owned Morgan horses and wherever her vacation took her she could inevitably find another horse-lover to talk while using. Catherine also enjoyed quilting as well serving as a Pioneer Volunteer to Lincoln Log Cabin State Park.
Catherine always placed her faith as well family first and shared an extraordinary relationship with her grandchildren. She will make remembered as a special teacher merely by her students and a loving as well faithful servant of God merely by her family and many friends.
